Semi Detailed Lesson Plan in Arts

Grade 5

I. Objectives

At the end of the lesson the pupils should be able to:

 Define 3-Dimensional craft


 Identify the different types of sculptures
 create anything in “3-D Dimentional craft”

II. Subject Matter

A. Topic: Lesson 8: 3-D Craft


B. Materials: Cartolina, markers, printed pictures, tape, samples of art
C. Reference: Module in 3-D craft by: Jurielyn S. Florido

The class will have a game called "Build me, and guess" the teacher hides some puzzle pieces under the
chairs of the students. Their mission is to find the puzzle pieces and put together for them to identify
whether it's a picture or painting.

Puzzle 2
A. Activity
The teacher will should two pictures and the students are going to give their thoughts about the
pictures.

B. Motive questions

 “Do you find the activity difficult?”


 “What do you think those pictures are?”
 “So, does anyone here has an interest in art?”

B. Lesson proper

The teacher will proceed to start the discussion about 3-Dimensional sculptures.
Guided questions:
1.What is 3-Dimension?
2.Does anyone of you had seen a statue?
3.What are the differences between a Sculpture and a painting or photo?
4.Between this two picture can you identify the painting and what is the sculpture?

5.Who are in this class have been in the park?


C. APPLICATION
The teacher will asked the class to bring out their one whole sheet of paper and ballpen, and
asked them to write their answers using their own understanding.

What sculpture do you think is the easiest and the hardest?

D. GENERALIZATION

What are the different kinds of sculpture that we discuss today?

What type of sculpture is known as “sculpture in the round”?

IV. Evaluation

To determine if everyone in the class learned from the lesson, the teacher will give a short quiz based on
what he/she discussed.

And tomorrow they will be having a recitation about the dicussion today.
