I. BRIEF CONTEXT/PERSPECTIVE OF THE ACTIVITY

In our community, the drainage system plays a crucial role in managing water flow, preventing
flooding, and maintaining public health. However, over time, these systems can become clogged with
debris, leading to inefficiencies and potential public health risks. Recognizing the importance of a
well-maintained drainage system, our team has decided to undertake a 'Drainage Cleanup' activity.
This initiative aims to clean and clear local drainage systems, thereby improving their functionality,
preventing potential flooding, and contributing to a cleaner, healthier environment for all community
members. Through this activity, we also hope to raise awareness about the importance of regular
maintenance and proper waste disposal to prevent such issues in the future.

II. OBJECTIVES

By the end of discussion, the community participants should be able to:

1.Demonstrate an understanding of the environmental impact of poor drainage maintenance by

identifying potential hazards and consequences.

2.Develop a sense of responsibility and empathy towards their community's environment by

expressing concern for the consequences of poor drainage maintenance.

3.Demonstrate proficiency in drainage clean up techniques by effectively removing debris and

restoring proper drainage flow.
