Morphology
Morphology
G1:
Kidney;
are very dense and compact
Proximal (pt) and distal (dt) convoluted tubules are visible wherein;
Proximal convoluted tubule cells are taller, making the lumen smaller; and,
The distal convoluted tubule cells are shorter and do not have microvilli, so the
lumen (white spaces inside the circle) is larger.
Morphology 1
G2:
Tendon
appears to be dense regular connective tissue as it is densely packed and linearly-
arranged in shape
cells are arranged in longitudinal rows which are responsible for the secretion of
ECM or Extra Cellular Matrix
Morphology 2
Jejunum
lined by mucus-producing goblet cells
cells are arranged with its surface area increased that allow the absorption of
nutrients
Morphology 3
G3:
Spinal Cord
is cylindrical in shape composed of white and gray matter
Morphology 4
Hyaline Cartilage
appeared to be glassy and slightly basophilic and widely dispersed
Morphology 5
G4:
ILIEUM
outer longitudinal and inner circular bundles
cells are arranged in a way that separates ileum from large intestine
Morphology 6
G5:
G6:
Adipose
spherical or oval in shape
is a connective tissue
Morphology 7
Cerebrum
Morphology 8
G7:
Blood Smear
uniform in shape and size
erythrocytes or red blood cells visible, are small and don't have a nucleus but rather
thin in the middle, and look like red doughnuts
leukocytes (white blood cells) are larger than red blood cells and they have nuclei
that stain dark purple.
G8:
Bone
Morphology 9
highly organized arrangement of concentric circles
Artery
appears wavy with contrictions
Morphology 10
G9:
Adrenal Gland
flattened glands with concentric layers of secretory tissue
Morphology 11
Smooth Muscle Tissue
involuntary, non-striated muscle
thick and thin filaments that are not arranged into sarcomeres giving it a non-
striated pattern
Morphology 12
