Beginning of Activity
Opening statement
I have some outlines on my paper and then I have this box of shapes. Each outline has a
matching shape. Let’s work together to sort and find all the matches of the shapes to the
paper.
Middle of Activity
Early: Student moves shapes around paper
Middle: Student matches shapes to the outlines.
Later: Student matches shapes to the outlines and then sorts all the shapes into different
groups.
End of Activity
Students will be able to then build with the different shapes they have sorted and matched
to the outlines.
