Q : Assalamualaikum w.b.t, my name is Qistina binti Rabean, I’m currently on

second semester taking PhD in Business Administration at IIUM. The
purpose of this WhatsApp conversation is to interview Sir/Madam as my
respondent for my Qualitative subject requirement project. This interview
conversation will be screenshot and record as appendix. The topic is on the
entrepreneur intention of Islamic courses student. Thank you.

Q : Can you please introduce yourself and your education background?

A : My name is Aidaa Razman, 28 years old. I graduated from UIA, degree in

faculty Islamic Syariah & Law.

Q : What does you understand in creating a new company or becoming an

entrepreneur?

A : Be an entrepreneur u must be risk taker, productive, creative, competitive,

know your target market and the product & service must not be just for one
off (seasonal product & service).

Q : Are you agree that technological advancement nowadays can motivating

youth to be an entrepreneur? Why have you said so?

A : Yes. Social media such as Facebook, Instagram, Tiktok etc.; help the
entrepreneurs in marketing. Whereas we can see now a days,
people/consumers use social media more than other platforms. And while
using the social media the product can be market in various type like
photos, videos even the feedback from the previous buyer we can share for
convincing our product itself.

Q : Is there anyone who in your circle pursue career as an entrepreneur or is

there anyone influence & support you if you be an entrepreneur?

A : Yes, my dad. He was an entrepreneur in food & beverage.

Q : If you were to create your own business, would you be able to complete
your business idea and strategy of your company and write your business
plan such as do a market research, also financial analysis. Thus, do you
know how to negotiate and maintain supportive relationships with potential
investors and banks. Finally, do you know how to relate key people to
obtain the capital needed for your business and recognize market
opportunities for the development of new products and/or services?

A : Yes. I will go with the business plan because I think that is compulsory for
the long term business where I can know the actual cost , profit & lost.
 So far I haven’t negotiated with any investor or bank. But I will when I
neEd to expand my business. Market opportunities is produce a new
product by promote at company page (official Facebook, Shopee,
Instagram) , paid reviews in Instagram or youtuber.

Q : Do you think that in the future you will create your own company? Why
you think so? With what probability do you consider creating your own
business from present to five years in time?

A : Yes. I will because I think I can be productive and earn a lot. Business can
be changes from time to time. Example I start with cake & bakery maybe
after 2 years I will expand the business with cafe or event delivery
(surprise, birthday, wedding).

Q : If you had the opportunity to choose freely the career, what would you
prefer to be an entrepreneur? Or you prefer to work for someone else /
other company?

A : Entrepreneur. So that I not just relate in one subject. Which I can explore
more and know market challenge and also I can help the society by provide
them job.

Q : Let say, considering your actual situation and the limitations toward your
options (e.g., lack of money) indicate which career is more probable to be
chosen or do you still choose to be entrepreneur?

A : I will do both. I work at company (salary I can use for my capital) . At the
same time, I will be a small entrepreneur.
