Salifou is a 45-year-old man. His wife’s name is Fama and they have been married for twenty years
now. They have got three children: Abdou, Samba and Aicha. Abdou is the typical teenager, who isn’t
very clever and he doesn’t like school. Samba is the intelligent one. He is good at science, and is an
excellent student. Aicha is a troublemaker, who likes making fun of her brothers. They all live in Pikine
in a huge and beautiful house in the suburb of Dakar. There is much space outside their house to play
and relax.
Youssoufou who is Salifou’s brother is 37 years old. He works as a doctor and he is a very busy
man, so he gets up early every morning. He has breakfast at home with his family and then goes to the
hospital to take care of sick people. He is very good at his job. He is a very competitive and efficient
man, who likes to have fun with his family. He also has a very juvenile attitude, so he thinks he is ‘‘the
cool dad’’. He has got two children, Astou and Bouba.
