First, unfortunately, there is no graduate course related to gerontology in Pakistan.
On the large scale, the current educational theory in Pakistan lags significantly behind that in advanced countries in the world. Second, I believe that the problems of elderly people in Pakistan can be solved by getting an advanced program from well-reputed university which can be helpful for my country and my people. Finally, as Gerontologists require a lot of training, and skills which could only be achieved under the guidelines of specialized staff from well-reputed university. Owing to these reasons, I have decided not to continue studying for higher education from my home country. My family and Financial Ties to Home Country My xyz father will sponsor me for all my expenses for my study and stay in Canada. Also, I have paid the first year tuition fees to the University of Lakehead (23000CAD). Moreover, I have paid 10,000 CAD as per GIC requirements to the Bank of Nova Scotia Student GIC Program to cover my first year living expenses. All my expenses shall be borne by my father. He is a businessman and he also owns a commercial property. His income is more than enough to meet my expenses and to support me financially throughout my education in Canada. Currently, he has capital of approximately PKR 5,000,000/- in his bank account. My mother (Xyz) is a housewife. Siblings details After completing my MED (Gerontology Specialization), from Canada, I am planning to work for older people in Pakistan and to run an awareness campaign with some organization regarding the health and care of senior citizens and make them realize that how Canadian people are working in the field of Gerontology. Besides this, there will be lots of opportunities in Pakistan regarding this field like senior centers, retirement communities, and professional organizations
