Springs guarantees our children a quality education empowering them to reach their maximum potential while
acquiring the skills to become life-long learners. This public school ranges from pre-kindergarten through 5 th

North Springs also houses a national award-winning STEMS magnet program within the school. The STEMS
program includes two homeroom classes for each grade level. The mission of STEMS, in partnership with
families, the community, and the school is to prepare students for active citizenship and for careers of the future,
particularly STEM careers. The STEMS program has recently adopted an aquaponics system that mimics a
natural environment by growing plants and fish.
Potential Projects
Project 1
A potential project would be creating a website that houses online learning modules that could teach students at
the school about aquaponics. This learning module would include a website that would be categorized based on
the grade level of the students. Each grade level would learn about a different part of the system through learning
modules and their role in keeping the system successfully running. The website will also include projects based
on the grade level. This website will also include a chart where the students can enter data, they have received
from the aquaponics systems.
