What is obesity?
abnormal or excessive fat accumulation that presents a risk to health. A body mass index (BMI)
over 25 is considered overweight, and over 30 is obese.
What types of food
should these people

avoid?
People with obesity usually have high blood sugar level & fat. Thus food that are
cooked using shallow-frying & deep-frying , which promote high cholesterol levels,
and have a great amount of fat & sodium content, should be avoided. Healthier
cooking methods such as boiling or steaming can be used as a way healthier
alternative.
what are the implications of
following a poor diet?
Well...
1. Weight Gain and Obesity:
A poor diet, often high in calories, sugars, and unhealthy fats,
contributes to weight gain and increases the risk of obesity.

2. Cardiovascular Issues:
Diets high in saturated and trans fats, cholesterol, and sodium can
contribute to elevated blood pressure, high cholesterol levels, and an
increased risk of heart disease and stroke.
Bone Health:
Inadequate intake of calcium and vitamin D can compromise bone
health, leading to conditions like osteoporosis

Obese people are used to eating delicious foods such as fries, pizza, and other
types of junk food. Thus, it may be difficult for them to transition to a healthier
but less mouth-watering diet. Thus, we have come with appetising yet healthy
meals for our patient.
1. Spaghetti Bolognese:
Whole wheat spaghetti: A good source of complex
carbohydrates and fiber.
Lean ground turkey or beef: Provides protein.
Tomato sauce with garlic, onions, and herbs: Rich in vitamins and
antioxidants.
Carrots and celery in the sauce: Adds texture, flavor, and
extra nutrients.
Parmesan cheese (optional): Adds savory flavor.
