RATIONALE
Intramural is a sporting event wherein students are competing in different
sport events which best suit their skills and abilities. It is an opportunity for the
student-athlete/participants to relax and unwind from the pressure of all academic
activities and requirements. Intramural is a great platform for students to
showcase their full potential in their chosen sports. Through this sport events the
school can also observe and spot potential athletes who can be members of the
school varsity, a group of student athletes who represent the school in any sport
events where the school is invited.
This years theme for Intramurals is "United in Game: Fostering Camaraderie
Through Sports" which aims to create an environment that not only celebrates
athletic competition but also places a strong emphasis on building meaningful
relationships and a sense of unity among participants. In a world where
individualism can sometimes overshadow the importance of collaboration, this
theme aims to bring individuals from diverse backgrounds together through the
medium of sports.
By focusing on camaraderie, the school intramurals is aimed at instilling
values of teamwork, mutual support, and sportsmanship among participants.
Through various sports activities and events, participants will have the opportunity
to work together, learn from one another and appreciate the strengths each
individual brings to the team. This theme also encourages participants to see
beyond the scores and rankings and instead, focus on the bonds they form and the
memories they create together. Intramurals provide a unique platform for
individuals to interact outside their usual circles, fostering connections that might
not have otherwise been established. The theme "United in Games" encourages
participants to set aside differences and embrace the spirit of friendly competition,
with the ultimate goal of creating lasting friendships and a sense of belonging.
Through this theme, we hope to create an Intramurals experience that does
not only showcase physical prowess but also nurture qualities that extend beyond
the field of games. By promoting camaraderie, it is believed that participants will
leave the event not only with a sense of achievement but also with a network of
friends and a renewed appreciation for the power of unity in achieving common
goals.
