Dear interview committee,

I want to state my interest in the position that you have open in your district for an elementary
educator. With my approaching graduation from Kutztown University, I am looking for a
teaching position that will fulfill my lifelong dream of being a teacher. I have had many
experiences with teaching children of all ages throughout my time at Kutztown University. I
believe that my passion for teaching, as well as all of my experiences working with many
different children make me a strong candidate for this position.

Since the beginning of my teaching education, I have found three concepts to be very influential
on my educator philosophy: equitable education, differentiated hands-on instruction, and
supporting student’s emotional needs in addition to their academic needs. With all my
experiences in schools I have found that these aspects of the education always impact students’
success in the classroom. They have become a key part of the way that I love to educate the
students that I work with.

My experiences across multiple grade levels and different schools have taught me essential skills
that are transferable to the duties and responsibilities required to be a successful educator within
your school district. I appreciate your time and consideration for this position.

About Me:
I am a spring 2024 Kutztown University graduate. While completing my undergraduate program
I studied Elementary Education to teach Pre-K through 4th grade. I also pursued a minor in
special education. Currently, through Kutztown University and Haverford School District in PA, I
am completing a graduate level program to earn my reading specialist certification.
