1. y varies directly with x. If x = 3 when y= 12, what is the value of y when x is 9?

2. y varies inversely with x. If x is 4 when y equals 48, what is the value of y when x is 8?

3. y varies jointly with x and z. If y=36 when x=2 and z=3, what is the value of y when x = 4 and
z =6?

4. y varies directly with the square of x. If y=8 when x is 2, what is the value of y when x is 4?
5. y varies inversely with the cube of x. If y is 108 when x is 2, what is the value of y when x=8?

6. The table below shows the number of workers and the number of days required by them to
complete a given amount of work as x and y respectively. (Plot the graph workers vs days).
