Stripping: calculation of a single stage
process
Semi-batch process (same piece of equipment):
It is interesting to consider also a semi-batch single-stage stripping process, and to
compare it with the corresponding continuous operation described just above.
In this case the liquid feed is loaded at the beginning, and valve V1 is kept closed till
the end of the operation.
A differential material balance is written:
