 Definition/Purpose
Dalam definisi Bahasa Inggris, analytical exposition adalah “a text that
elaborates the writer‘s idea about the phenomenon surrounding. Its social
function is to persuade the reader that the idea is an important matter.”
The purpose of the analytical exposition text is to persuade the reader that
there is something which needs an attention.

 Generic Structure :
• Thesis

This section will contain the issues or problems that will be raised,
whereas in the analytical exposition this section will contain the author’s
position, opinion or attitude.
• Arguments
The arguments section is the section where a writer will freely express
opinions regarding the topic being discussed.
• Reiteracition/conculasion
This paragraph contains a reaffirmation of the author’s position and
opinion on the main topic. Apart from that, this last paragraph can also
contain the conclusion of the argument you wrote above.

 Language Features
1. Use present tense
For example: I eat, Cheetah runs.
2. Use mental verbs
For example: I believe, I prefer, I agree, I doubt I disagree.
3. Use saying verbs
 To support the argument such as people.
for example: people say; it is said; research indicates.
4. Use connecting words
To link to arguments sp that the flow of the arguments is logical and
fluent.
For example: additionally, furthermore, not only, also, in addition,
moreover, like wise.
5. Use causal conjunction
To indicate a cause or reason of what is being stated. For example:
because, consequently, despite, due to, for that reason, in case,
otherwise, yet, first, second.

Breakfast
In a super busy morning, many people tend to leave the house without
getting their breakfast. This is bad since breakfast brings a lot of benefits.
Below are the most important reasons to have breakfast.
Having breakfast is going to help you feel more focused throughout the
day. When you study at school without having breakfast before, you will
lose your focus during the lesson.
Breakfast is like fuel that will keep you ready and active until lunchtime.
Besides, breakfast will also give your brains the entire essential energy in
order to focus and function better on your tasks.
Based on the details above, breakfast will help you be more focused.
Having breakfast will also keep you healthier since it will help you control
your appetite.
Make sure you get breakfast every morning and don’t you ever skip your
breakfast.
