Choosing a senior high school strand is not easy. It is one of the most challenging decisions that the junior high will
have to face. According to Judea Tagal (2019) Factors Affecting the Track Choice on Senior High School of Selected
Grade 10 Students in Camp Vicente Lim Integrated School, SY 2017-2018 Their decision-making is influenced by
different factors, such as available course, financial situation, and the student’s ability.
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the factors influencing the students’ chosen track at Camp Vicente Lim
Integrated School.
The research design for this study was a descriptive survey method. By using sample random techniques or
the fishbowl method, five percent of the Grade 10 learners enrolled in Camp Vicente Lim Integrated School
were selected. Both quantitative and qualitative methods were included in the inventory to collect data on the
factors affecting the students’ choice of track. To impose all of the questions, the researcher used the

most common factor that affects student’s decision in choosing Senior High School track was their skills.
Students can select from different kinds of strands and tracks that correspond with the college courses they
want to take. There is a possibility that students will be able to select the most suitable track and strand for
them because they are aware of what each one contains and offers. Therefore, in order to assist students in
making decisions, schools must provide career counselling as well as other kinds of assistance.
The article’s connection to the researchers study is to evaluate the factors that affect the Grade 10 students.
