Otter

crochet pattern

author Olya Samoseienko, Ukraine, 2020

Hello, dear friend!
You're welcome on the pages of my updated crochet pattern.
You can crochet your own cute otter according to this pattern.

Thank you for your choice and support. Have a nice crocheting.

Before you start I would like to underline some important aspects.

This pattern is FOR PERSONAL USE ONLY!
This pattern (or parts of it) may not be resold, translated, shared or posted (for self or free)
over the internet or offline.
Let's respect each other's work and time.

If you have any questions, proposes or observations,

The crochet pattern is ready to print.

My printing recommendations:
print only the parts that contain the processes of crocheting, assembly and
decoration of your toy (pag. 5-13), two pages per sheet on both sides.
I've made those pages laconic, without unnecessary decorations.
These precautions would provide a higher printing speed and save toner.

But, if it’s possible, you could use your digital copy on your smartphone / laptop /
tablet / or another device in your possession.

In this way we'll try to reduce the amount of garbage on our planet ❤

Materials and instruments
1. semi-cotton yarn (weight category 2: Fine, type Sport, 5 ply, 12 wpi):
- dark-beige color (head, ears, body and paws) – 0,9 oz / 24 g,
- red color (heart),
- white color (whites of the eyes),
- brown color (nose).
I used:
- Yarn Art Jeans (55% cotton + 45% acrylic; 6299 in / 175 yd / 160 m; 1,76 oz / 50 g)
color 71 cocoa,
- Gazzal Baby Cotton (60% cotton + 40% acrylic; 6496 in / 180 yd / 165 m; 1,76 oz /
50 g) color 3439 red,
- Alize Cotton Gold (55% cotton + 45% acrylic; 12992 in / 361 yd / 330 m; 3,53 oz /
100 g) color 55 white and 690 brick melange.
You can use other colors or types of yarn;
2. thin black yarn for embroidering the eye lashes (embroidery yarn DMC /
YarnArt Iris / sewing thread / similar thread);
3. a pair of plastic eyes on a secure mount, d = 7 mm;
4. fiberfill (I used hollow fiber);
5. crochet hook.
For indicated yarn I used a 2 mm crochet hook / size B to USA classification.
If you usually use a different crochet hook for this yarn, use one which is more
comfortable for you. If you’ve chosen another yarn, use a crochet hook more
suitable for it;
6. scissors;
7. tapestry needle (metallic or plastic needle with a blunt end);
8. embroidery needle (thin metallic needle with a sharp end);
9. pins.
