Songkran Festival
Songkran Festival is on April 13th -15th. It celebrates the
Thai New Year. On these days, we go to the temple in the
morning. We offer food to monks, listen to their preaching and
sprinkle water onto Buddha images. Some people like to set birds
and fish free on these days too. After that, we make sand
pagodas on the temple ground.
Then we visit our older relatives and give them garlands.
We pour water onto their hands to receive their blessings.
After that, we splash water at each other for fun. We have
a great time during the Songkran Festival.
