COURSE TITLE : ANATOMY AND PHYSIOLOGY
COURSE CREDIT : 3 units, 3hrs/wk (18 weeks, 54hrs total)
PRE-REQUISITE :
COURSE DESCRIPTION : Study of the systems of the human body. Necessary life functions and survival needs will be examined, followed by an
orientation of the language of anatomy. Thorough analyses of intracellular function, tissue types, the integumentary system, skeletal tissue and the human
skeleton, joints, muscle tissue and the muscular system, the fundamentals of nervous tissue, the nervous system, and the endocrine system will follow.

1. Describe basic structural and functional features of the major organ systems within the human body.
2. Define basic biological processes essential for maintenance of homeostasis.
3. Correlate specific structural features of human cells, tissues, organs and systems of the human body with their normal functions, and identify the
