750J and 850J Crawler Transmission Rate Adjustments

Here is a list of the transmission controller settings that can be changed to customize the
machine operation to meet your customer’s expectations. These transmission controller
settings are new features on the 750J and 850J. The rate settings are accessed through the
display monitor of the forward console.

As you are demonstrating your machine listen for operator comments that might indicate an
adjustment you can make.

Transmission Controller Unit Rate Adjustments

Procedure:
· Key on
· Depress and hold the MENU button until “Service Menu” appears in the display window
· Press the NEXT button repeatedly until “Machine Settings” is highlighted in the display
window
· Press and release the SELECT button
· Press the NEXT button until “Trans Settings” is highlighted
· Press and release the SELECT button
· The transmission settings items are displayed.
· Press the NEXT button repeatedly to highlight the item you want to change
· Press and release the SELECT button
· Press the NEXT button to highlight the option you want to select
· Press the SELECT button to select an option.
· To change rate settings for other items press the BACK button to return to the list of
transmission setting items
· Press “MENU” to return to the normal display information

Forward and Reverse Travel Monitor Function

Another feature in the transmission controller allows access to the time and miles in forward and
reverse operation. This information is found on the display window under the Track Info menu.
Knowing the distance and time a machine has been operated in forward and reverse can be useful in
understanding and managing undercarriage wear.

· Press the SELECT button
· To view other travel monitor functions press the BACK button to return to their list
· Press “MENU” to return to the normal display information
