Cycling is more environmentally friendly than other forms of transport.

Why
is it not popular in many places? And how to increase its popularity?
There is an ongoing debate in recent times regarding cycling issue. Although this
mode of transportation has positive impacts on the environment, however it is not
prioritized as highly as other forms of transportation. This essay will delve into the
potential causes of this phenomenon and propose the practical measures to
enhancing the problem.
Primarily, there are several major reasons explaining why cycling is less utilized
than other means of transportation. Firstly, cycling may be less safe and
convenient. As more cities in Vietnam, poor-quality roads are the main cause of
increasing accidents, especially perilous for modes lacking protective features such
as bicycles. Therefore, it is critical to limiting the cycling in participate with
transportation. Secondly, Weather conditions are also a significant reason for
cycling's lack of popularity in many regions. Adverse weather such as heavy
raining, snow and intense heat will render cycling uncomfortable or impractical in
certain regions.
To increase the popularity of cycling, the governments should prioritize investment
in cycling infrastructure, including the development of bike parking facilities and
bike lanes to ensure convenience and comfort for citizens. This approach will raise
awareness among individuals about protecting the environment through cycling.
Moreover, providing cycling education and safety training programs will increase
the popularity of cycling. Cycling education methods enable both adults and
children to improve confidence and skills among cyclists., making them more
comfortable and competent riders.
In conclusion, the prevalence of cycling in many places is a complex issue with
multiple causes, including a lack of safety and convenience. However, by
implementing effective solutions such as investment in cycling infrastructure and
providing cycling education, safety training programs, it is possible to address this
issue and improve and overall living standard for residents.
The maps show changes that took place in Youngsville in New Zealand over a
25 years period from 1980 to 2005
The given maps illustrate Youngsville in New Zealand before and after some
developments over a period of 25 years, between 1980 and 2005.
Overall, it can be seen from the pictures, Youngsville has witnessed dramatic
changes in during this period.
On the southern side of the river Alanah, the airport and small parking lot in the
southwest of the picture remained unchanged over the 25 years timeframe.
However, considerable development took place with the construction of many
factories and warehouses were built in the woodland area, resulting in the removal
of trees. Notably, some houses on the right-hand side of the school were
demolished to make way for the factory. Additionally, the railway station was
maintained and expanded along the coastline.
Moving to the north of the river Alanah, the trees were chopped down to make way
for parking facilities and new park next to the hospital and lake. Furthermore,
many houses and apartments in the northwest of the sea were replaced by large
stadium and parking lot while some houses and apartments in the southwest coastal
area were demolished to make way for skyscrapers.
