Sir,
With reference to the above noted subject, it is to intimate you that the Drawings of Typical
Details of Valve Chamber for Dl & HDPE pipe( Distribution network) and Thrust Block for the work "
Execution of 02 nos of lndividual Piped Water Supply Project pertaining to Saraskana, Kuliana &
Bangriposi Block and to Bangriposi & Kuliana Block of Mayurbhanj District is hereby approved by the
undersigned with following observations.

1. Thevalve'"hrrt"rshouldbeRCCMl5gradeconcretewith'l50mmthickinsteadofbrickwork.
2. The 8mm dia reinforcement should be provided in the valve chamber.
3. The standard size of the Valve Chamber for Dl & HDPE pipes( Distribution network) to be follow
during execution of work.

However, the inside diameter of the Valve Chamber should be such that the Valves can be
opened and closed by one man and can be repair easily. Valve of dia 450 mm and above shall be
provided with a drain and air plug. The Chamber dia should be as per the corrections made in the
drawings. Minimum thickness of roof slabs above the Chamber which are coming along the side of
the National Highways/ State Highways/ Other roads should be 200mm thick.
