ESL
Current week
This week we wrote a food recipe and food blog using food related vocabulary and grammar features of the genre. We also used adjectives to describe a dish.

Next week
This week in ESL, students will be identifying key features of folktales and stories from around the world and comparing different versions of the same story.
They will be introduced to the end of unit writing project of recounting an illness or health problem. They will then review and complete an END OF UNIT EXAM

Maths
Current week
This week we learned about series and sequences using tools such as number lines, number squares and visualizing.

Next week
We will discover the meaning of square and triangle numbers and solve numerical and word problems using various methods. Student will extend their
knowledge of sequences and series using visual, numerical and equation methods.

Science
Current week
This week we will continue learning Unit 1.4 Seed germination. The the students conducted an investigation "Investigate conditions needed for germination"

Next week
Next week students will review the coverage for the unit 1 test in the first period, then take the test in the second period. Please check the LMS for the revision
materials.

Global Perspectives
Current week
This week we presented our research project posters identifying which topics make countries different. The audience contributed by posing questions and
giving feedback.

Next week
Students begin a new topic entitled Staying Healthy. We focus on asking questions that we want to discover in the topic. We also create survey questions and
conduct a survey on questions about health and lifestyle.

ICT
 Current week
This week we finished our end of unit project in unit 1. The students were given time to complete and export their videos and then they completed a self
reflection in which they evaluated their own work and identify the strengths and an area for improvement in their videos.

Next week
Next week in ICT the students will start their new unit in which they will learn about how computers really work through binary. In the lesson the students will
learn more about what’s inside a computer and how a computer is constantly making decisions using binary.
