BACKGROUND
Ebit Irawan Ibrahim Lew / Ebit Lew
A 37-year-old preacher
Facing 11 charges, including insulting the modesty of a woman in
her 40s by sending obscene words and pictures to her phone
number using WhatsApp.

INVESTIGATION
Witness in the sexual harassment trial involving celebrity
preacher, Ebit Lew, told the court that he invited her to swap
partners for intimate relations.
The woman in her 40s state that in the WhatsApp text received,
Ebit Lew, suggested swapping partners so that he could engage
in intimate relations with the complainant, while the
complainant's husband was asked to engage in intimate
relations with Ebit's wife.
The complainant also told the court that Ebit also used vulgar
language by expressing a desire to hug, kiss affectionately, and
engage in inappropriate activities with her.
INVESTIGATION
The witness’s mobile phone was sent to the Cheras, Selangor
forensic laboratory.
Police audio video senior analyst, ASP Latifah Abdul Aziz, 43,
examined it to make sure it was not damaged and was
functioning.
The extraction process on the case item (mobile device) was
done with XRY software.
It took her about 3 hours to analyse the contents of the mobile
phone before copy the data into two PDRM CD equipped with
security features.

DIGITAL FORENSIC FINDINGS
436 photographs related to the case were retrieved from a
Samsung Galaxy A31 mobile phone.
4 video recordings and 219 screenshots were obtained from
Whatsapp application. 146 pictures were obscene.

Several websites suspected of being obscene and found to be
pornographic in nature.
ASP Latifah said that among the websites also browsed were
Wikipedia with searches on “sexual harassment”, “Sexual
harassment laws in Malaysia”, “Jail risk from obscene jokes”. and
“Sexual offences punishment Bill”.

BACKGROUND
Amy Allwine lived in Minnesota with her husband Stephen and their
adopted son. They were active members of their community, with Stephen
working as an IT specialist and a respected deacon at their local church,
while Amy ran a successful dog training business.

INVESTIGATION
On November 13, 2016, Amy was found dead in her home believed to be
a suicide. However, the crime scene raised suspicions of foul play.

DIGITAL FORENSIC FINDINGS
1. Bitcoin Transactions: A 34-character Bitcoin address used to pay $12,000 to a
hitman-for-hire service on the dark web made by "DogDayGod" and which also
linked back to Stephen Allwine, Amy's husband.
2. Email Communication: Emails exchanged between Stephen Allwine and the
hitman service on the dark web provided evidence of Stephen's intent to have his
wife killed and the arrangements made for the murder.
3. Online Activity: Stephen's online activities were tracked and documented. This
included his attempts to purchase drug.
4. Device Forensics: Stephen's computer and mobile phone were subjected to forensic
analysis, revealing incriminating evidence such as the Bitcoin address, email
conversations, and search history related to the murder-for-hire scheme.

LOCKERBIE
BOMBING

BACKGROUND
Pan Am flight 103, flight of a passenger airliner operated by Pan American World Airways
(Pan Am) that exploded over Lockerbie, Scotland, on December 21, 1988, after a bomb was
detonated. All 259 people on board were killed, and 11 individuals on the ground also died.

About 7:00 PM on December 21, Pan Am flight 103, a Boeing 747 en route to New York City
from London, exploded over Lockerbie, Scotland.

The bomb, constructed with the odourless plastic explosive Semtex, was hidden in a cassette
player that was stored in a suitcase. The blast broke the plane into thousands of pieces that
landed in an area covering roughly 850 square miles (2,200 square km). All 259 passengers
and crew members were killed. Falling wreckage destroyed 21 houses and killed an
additional 11 people on the ground.

eventually agreed to pay damages to the families of the victims
of the attack.
