Chapter III

METHODOLOGY

The chapter contains the different part of the research method. These are the

research design, the sample, the instrument, data collection procedure which will be

in the analysis of data collection procedure and the analysis procedure which will be

in the analysis of data that will be gathered.

Research Design

The research design for this study is qualitative in nature. A phenomenology

research approach will be utilized ass it allows the exploration of the live experience

of the participants. This approach enable the researcher to obtain detailed

description of the participants’ experience and perception leading to a deeper

understanding of their experience.

Research Sample

A purposive sampling technique will be used to choose participants, the

researcher randomly selected 6 students from Dalton and 7 students from Pascal,

and Galileo in the total of 20 students who were distinguish in Carigara National High

School as the reference and supplied the needed information for the success of this

study.

Research Instrument

An open-ended questionnaire was the instrument utilized in this investigation.

This kind of survey offers room for respondents to express their opinions regarding a
particular question. The survey consists of four questions, to which twenty randomly

chosen people will respond.

Data Collection Procedure

The researcher sought permission from the principal of Carigara National

High School for the conduct of the study. The consent was provided for the

participants. The researcher distribute the questionnaire to 20 participants who were

part of the research and waited for each participants to finish answering the

question.

Data Analysis Procedure

The provided response and the gathered data of the research on the

overwhelming number of grade 11 students in Carigara National High School: lived

experience were analyzed through phenomenological analysis.
