INTRODUCTION
I am Krishna Mittal, resident of Bathinda, Punjab. I've been holding onto this belief
since my high school days that knowledge is power. And let me tell you, it's a belief
that's stuck with me ever since. I've always felt that when you're passionate about
something and you dive deep into it, the possibilities are endless. That's why I'm
thrilled to be pursuing a course in LMU International Business and Commercial Law. I
truly believe that with the right education and dedication, I can make a significant
impact in this field.

EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND
My academic journey has been quite the ride! It all began at St. Xavier's School,
where I topped my class. From there, I moved on to NMIMS University for my BA LLB
degree. That's where I really found my groove, especially when I started digging into
contract law and corporate matters. After completing my bachelor's, I decided to
take it up a notch and pursue my master's at Symbiosis International University which
I completed in 2023 with 7.9 CGPA. And let me tell you, specializing in EU Law and
International Law opened up a whole new world of possibilities for me.

WHY I CHOOSE LLM INTERNATIONAL COMMERCIAL LAW

While growing up, my grandfather was my hero. He always dreamed of me joining
the legal field, and somehow, our dreams always seemed to align. It wasn't until I
started my undergrad at NMIMS Law School that I realized just how much I loved law.
I remember being completely immersed in studying Law of contracts during my first
semester, and that love and interest only grew with time. That's when I knew my
calling was in corporate law. So, when I stumbled upon the LMU International
Business and Commercial Law program, it felt like fate. I mean, here was a course
that allowed me to delve into international law while focusing on business subjects,
all under one roof! It was like the cherry on top of the cake.

WHY CHOOSE UNIVERSITY OF NOTTINGHAM

Now, when it came to choosing where to pursue my studies, the University of
Nottingham stood out like a beacon of academic excellence. I mean, who wouldn't
want to study at a place known for nurturing future leaders and fostering global
perspectives? Moreover, their faculty placement program and industry connections
sounded like the perfect recipe for gaining international experience. And let's not
forget about the vibrant campus community and all the opportunities it offers for
personal and professional growth. It just felt like the right place for me to spread my
wings and soar.

WHY UNITED KINGDOM?

The UK has always been on my radar for its stellar education system because of the
quality of education they offer. But it's not just about academics. The multicultural
society, the welcoming people, and the plethora of opportunities for part-time work -
it all adds up to an unforgettable experience. Furthermore, being able to immerse
myself in a culture where English is the primary language of communication is a huge
bonus. It's like being able to connect with people from all walks of life without any
barriers.

PLANS AFTER RETURNING TO INDIA

Upon completing my studies and returning to India, my foremost aim is to apply the
knowledge and skills I've acquired abroad to contribute to my country's
development. With a deep sense of responsibility towards India, I am eager to
immerse myself in the professional landscape and make a tangible impact.

I envision leveraging my expertise in international commercial law to pursue

opportunities in media, NGOs, or international organizations like the UN. Whether it's
navigating legal complexities in media and publishing, advocating for social justice
with NGOs, or contributing to global initiatives with international organizations, I am
committed to driving positive change.

In the long term, I aspire to establish a consultancy or legal practice specializing in

international commercial law. By providing tailored legal solutions to businesses and
facilitating cross-border transactions, I aim to contribute to India's economic growth
while upholding principles of justice and equity.
