as a part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav - reg.

Sir/Madam,

I am to refer to the above subject and to state that the Ministry of Youth Affairs and
Sports has approved events to be conducted for celebration of 'Azadi Ka Amrit
Mahotsav'. The Committee has inter-alia approved the event "World Bicycle Day"
on 3rd June, 2023. Event details are annexed.

I shall be grateful if you could kindly get it ensured that the above said program is
celebrated with full fervor and having maximum public outreach so as to make this event a
grand success. It is requested that all NSS Coordinators may kindly issue necessary
directions to all NSS POs and NSS Volunteers under your jurisdiction to organize the
"World Bicycle Day" above on 3rd June, 2023. (Guidelines attached)

The action reports alongwith photos may kindly be posted in all social media platform
and also send an email to this office nssrdchennai@qamil.com soon after the programme.

 World Bicycle Day Guidelines

DATE: 03rd JUNE, 2023.

~ The Programme Coordinators to issue directions to all NSS Programme Officers to

organise minimum 7.5km Cycle rally with minimum 20 Cyclists.

~ The rally may be held in early morning 6.00am to 9.00am or in the evening.

~ Before the start of Cycle rally garlanding of portrait, floral tributes at

statutes/memorials would of freedom fighters be done.

~ Minimum 20 to maximum any number of Cyclists can take part in the rally.

~ VIPs to flag off the rally of 7.5km (minimum).

~ During the journey, locals would be encouraged to join the rally.

~ .At the finish point, refreshment would be provided to the NSS Volunteers
Participants.

~ Conclusion of the event with National Anthem.

~ Cycle Rally photos Please be shared on social media handle with the hashtags
such as
#AKAM#AzadiKaAmrutMahotsav#BicycieRally#WorldBicycieDay2022#FitIndiaFre
edomRider.

~ Doordarshan, AIR, PIB, other print and electronic media channels would be
informed in advance for coverage of the event.

~ The expenses in this regard may be met out from the NSS regular fund (or) NSS
.Corpus Fund at the institution. .
