IMPORTANT NOTICE – CHANGE IN AVCS LICENSING

Dear OneOcean User,

Admiralty has announced that the number of systems allowed to be registered in an AVCS License has
changed and is now unlimited. This means that if your vessel has multiple ECDIS systems, Back of Bridge
systems or other ENC enabled software, all of these can be registered under one AVCS License.

It is important to note that there are still some restrictions on the number of UPNs that can be registered
for specific ENC producers. These are detailed in the Table on the next page. The same information can be
found in the AVCS service README.TXT file available through the ENC updates exported from OneOcean
and the various AVCS Media.

The UPN Count is consecutive and follows the order in which the systems are added to your AVCS License.
The first system registered is identified as Master, the second system is identified as Backup, the third
system is Reserve1, and following systems are then added incrementally.

Example:
If a vessel has eight systems registered (each with a distinct UPN) and has holdings from the South
China Sea (EA), only the first five permit files will include the EA cells.

For those clients that currently hold multiple AVCS Licenses for a single vessel to cater for multiple systems
onboard, we will be consolidating these into one subscription on your behalf.

We are also conscious that this change may require some vessels to re-allocate the registered UPNs in a
different order. If this is the case, please contact the customer support team (support@oneocean.com) or
any of our customer teams. They will be able to provide a list of UPNs registered currently and help you re-
allocate them according to your requirements.

Note: Shore licenses always allow a maximum of 5 workstations.
