Currently Darstran is a replication system for the PMS IDMS database and all the
OBID/TBID etc extracts are running over the Darstran database to feed data to
DWH environment. As part of the PMS Re-hosting, the PMS IDMS database is getting
migrated and same copy of database will be used in place of Darstran. As a result
the current Darstran ETL mappings will not work.

The main CTQ of this project is modifying the current mappings which
point to the Darstran Database to work with new PMS Oracle database and test data
against new re-hosted database.

Responsibilities include:

Prepared Document for Golden Gate Meta data.
Involved in Unit Testing & System testing for Dastran

Project Description:
CPE Manager is charged to be the golden source device information for all equipment on
the customer’s premise that is not considered as part of the Verizon network. CPE Manager is
tasked with maintaining this device data from the time the equipment is quoted for customer
sale until the equipment is retired or the customer terminates Verizon services and the device’s
warranty period expires. The objective is to create a relational database to manage all CPE
information.

Responsibilities include

 Used ETL to standardize data coming from various sources and load into the target, this
was in oracle.
 Worked on Informatica power center Designer tools-source analyzer, warehouse
designer, mapping designer, transformation developer and mapplet designer.
 Informatica Designer tools were used to design the source definition, target definition
and transformations to build mappings.
 Created mappings using transformations such as the source qualifier, aggregator,
expression, lookup, router, filter and update strategy.
 Implemented slowly changing strategy to manage the data in the dimension tables.
 Workflow Manager used for creating and maintaining the Sessions. Workflow Monitor
also used to monitor, edits, and schedule the session.
 Created and Run Sessions using Server Manager.
 Involved in Unit testing.
 Extensively worked in the performance tuning of transformations, sources, sessions,
mappings and targets.
