Task 2:

Choose an industry or any type of workplace that makes use of computers or electronics
(e.g., computer laboratory, computer shop, stores, etc.). You can also do this activity on
your own home/personal computer.

Observe the surroundings and make a list of hazards that may be present in the workplace.
Describe the risks.

Write down possible interventions to control the risks.

SHORT REFLECTION

Write a minimum of one paragraph reflection of your learnings about the activity.
Today, I learned many different things and was able to familiarize with the different OHS
guidelines observed and practiced inside a workplace. I learned what are the possible
hazards and the risks a certain workplace contains and what are the ways to prevent and
minimize it to avoid any type of injuries or whatsoever. Being able to recognize such
scenario upon entering any workplace and being able to think critically a solution to it is an
important skill to master because in life, unexpected things happen and you should always
be ready for it. Practicing these simple OHS guidelines not only benefits yourself, but also
to others. It is always better to be in a safe environment to be in than a dangerous one.
