Subject : Resolution Requesting the Anao Market Vendors Association to Submit
Issues and Concerns as Need Arises for Purposes of Evaluation and Basis for
Further Improvement

The Presiding Officer:

The Committee on Market conducted a committee meeting regarding the proposed Resolution Requesting
the Anao Market Vendors Association to Submit Issues and Concerns as Need Arises for Purposes of
Evaluation and Basis for Further Improvement.

The Committee has come up with the following findings:

1. That, the Committee on Market conducted a committee meeting on May 30, 2023 to discuss the
proposed resolution requesting the Anao Market Vendors Association to submit issues and
concerns as needed for evaluation and as a basis of the Local Government Unit (LGU) for further
improvement.
2. That, during the Committee meeting regarding the Upgrading of the Anao Market Code wherein the
Officers of the Anao Market Vendors Association were invited, they were given opportunity to raise
their issues and concerns at the Anao Public Market, to wit:
a. Stall roll-up
b. Stall extension by half meter
c. Trimming of Banaba tree
d. Drainage/Gutters of roof
e. Comfort room
f. Parking area
g. Ambulant/Rolling Vendors
h. Roof extension in front of the public market
3. That, the purpose of the committee meeting was to identify or determine information and insights
that would improve the operation of the Anao Public Market.

RECOMMENDATION:

In view of the above findings and after thorough discussion, the Committee on Market hereby recommends
the following:

a. The Committee will further collaborate with the Anao Market Vendors Association and the Local
Chief Executive to further evaluate the identified concerns and develop an action plan to address
them.
b. The Committee meeting concluded with a reminder of the shared commitment to improving the
Anao Market and ensuring the welfare of the vendors and customers.
c. The Committee further recommends the Anao Public Market Association to just provide/submit list
of Issues and Concerns of the operation of Anao Public Market instead of passing a Resolution.
This will serve as a basis for evaluation and improvement for a more and timely approach.
