 Identify and use pronouns correctly in sentences
 Appreciate the importance of using pronouns to make their sentences more interesting
and less repetitive
 Demonstrate the ability to replace nouns with appropriate pronouns.

Before we start our new lesson for
today, we were going to play a game.

Today we're going to play a super fun
game called “Pronoun Picture Relay”

Since you are a class of 20 to group Student start to count.


you, please count 1-5. Each team will
have 5 members.

So here’s how it works. I'll place some


flashcards with pictures face down in
a pile at one end of the classroom.
These pictures show different actions
or scenarios.

One person from each team will race


to the pile, pick a card, and bring it
back to their team. Then, as a team,
you'll decide which pronoun to use to
replace the noun in the picture.
For example, if the picture shows a
boy riding a bike, you might choose
the pronoun "he." After you've
decided on the pronoun, one team
member will write down the noun and
the pronoun on the board under the
correct columns. Then, the next person
from your team will race to pick
another card, and the process repeats
until everyone has had a turn.
Remember, work together as a team
and try to be quick!
The team with the most correct
pronouns wins!
