Research Plan:

Researcher wishes to conduct a study on how to increase the production of chicken meat in the
market. The researcher wanted to decrease the number of days of chicken good for harvest
time by increasing the protein diet. With this the researcher wanted to formulate an organic
feed supplement that may shorten the harvest time. This study was driven by the situation
wherein there is demand for chicken meat in the market. One of the available and fast-growing
plants which is a possible source of the protein diet of for chicken is the oregano. In this study
therefore the researcher will incorporate the oregano plant as part of the food supplement for
the chicken.

CHAPTER I
Introduction

Nature and Importance of the Study

Chicken (Gallus Gallus) Meat is one of our Food in our Country which is
Philippines. With billions of birds used annually for the production of meat and
eggs, chicken is another important source of nutrition around the globe. It sets
the standard for others because it was the first livestock species to be
sequenced. It is anticipated that the sequence and the 2.8 million genetic
polymorphisms identified in a related experiment may help agriculture and shed
new light on the domestication of animals. It serves as a model for the 9600
species of birds that are believed to exist today as it was the first bird to be
sequenced. The chicken is a perfect creature for studies in development and
evolution, as well as for use in agriculture and medicine (David W. Burt). Chicken
meat is suitable for quick and easy cooking, but it also offers a variety of pairings
with different cuisines, making it a popular choice among customers in today's
society ( Gordana Kralik, Zlata Kralik, Manuela Grcevic and Danica Hanzek).
Chicken is Famous in whole World one of the favorite of many children is the
Chicken joy.

Oregano is one of the most well-known and significant economically is the

culinary herb oregano (S.E. Kintzios). Traditional treatments have also employed
oregano to treat conditions like asthma, cramps, diarrhea, and indigestion. It
 has a number of strong antioxidants, which may help explain why preliminary
studies have shown that oregano has advantages for the nervous and
cardiovascular systems, reduces inflammation symptoms, and regulates blood
sugar and lipids (Singletary, Keith PhD). Thus this research aimed to utilized the
early harvesting of chicken meat by expanding protein using Oregano. Why
Oregano there is many other supplement and not them? Oregano is a herb that
add flavor to a food and it is medicine.

Objectives of the Study

This studies aimed to lessen the days of harvesting chicken by expanding protein.
The study aimed to:
1. Evaluate the days of harvesting chicken.
2. Define how much chicken harvested early
3. Evaluate the composition of Oregano
