Lighting

Goal #1: The students will be able to label basic lighting elements, as well
as identify and describe vocabulary words specific to lighting.

- SLO #1: Identify vocabulary words specific to lighting and express


their significance.

- SLO #2: Recognize and label the different types of light fixtures and
cords.

- SLO #3: Explore the different parts of a standard lighting board.

Goal #2: Students will install and maintain different lighting fixtures -
including changing lamps, cleaning lights, and checking cables.

SLO #1: Proper installation of lighting equipment.

SLO #2: Maintain and clean lighting equipment.

SLO #3: Utilize a standard lighting board and its components.

Goal #3: Students will display their understanding of the principles of


lighting design by presenting their concept and lighting design to the class.

SLO #1: Capability to read and implement lighting designs.


SLO #2: Skills to create lighting designs through lighting plots and
sketches.

SLO #3: Ability to defend their creative choices.
