BRAKE (REAR) REAR BRAKE FLEXIBLE HOSE(for 4WD and Pre-Runner) INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE

1.INSTALL NO. 5 FLEXIBLE HOSE BRACKET 47355A

a. Connect the No. 5 flexible hose bracket with the 2 bolts.


Torque:
12.5 N*m (127 kgf*cm, 9 ft.*lbf)

b. Install the No. 5 flexible hose bracket with the 3 bolts.


Torque:
29 N*m (296 kgf*cm, 21 ft.*lbf)

c. Attach the brake tube clamp to the No. 5 flexible hose bracket.

2.INSTALL NO. 6 FLEXIBLE HOSE BRACKET 47356

a. Install the No. 6 flexible hose bracket with the bolt.


Torque:
29 N*m (296 kgf*cm, 21 ft.*lbf)

3.INSTALL REAR BRAKE TUBE FLEXIBLE HOSE 47321B

a. Connect the flexible hose to the connecting point with each brake tube, and then install 2 new clips.

b.

*a Torque Wrench Fulcrum Length

Using a union nut wrench, connect the rear brake tube flexible hose to the brake tube while holding the
rear brake tube flexible hose with a wrench.
Torque:
Specified tightening torque : 15.2 N*m (155 kgf*cm, 11 ft.*lbf)

HINT:
· Calculate the torque wrench reading when changing the fulcrum length of the torque wrench.

· When using a union nut wrench (fulcrum length of 22 mm (0.8661 in.)) + torque wrench (fulcrum
length of 162 mm (6.3779 in.)): 13.4 N*m (137 kgf*cm, 10 ft.*lbf)

NOTICE:
· Do not bend or damage the brake tube.
· Do not allow any foreign matter such as dirt and dust to enter the brake tube from the connecting
point.

c. Connect the flexible hose to the connecting point with each brake tube, and then install 2 new clips.

*a Torque Wrench Fulcrum Length

Using a union nut wrench, connect each brake tube to the flexible hose while holding the flexible hose with
a wrench.
Torque:
Specified tightening torque : 15.2 N*m (155 kgf*cm, 11 ft.*lbf)

HINT:
· Calculate the torque wrench reading when changing the fulcrum length of the torque wrench.

6.BLEED CLUTCH LINE (for Manual Transmission)
