FORENSIC3/L

QUESTION:
1. Name at least eight signs and symptoms of poisoning
Signs and symptoms of poisoning may include:

• Burns or redness around the mouth and lips

• Breath that smells like chemicals, such as gasoline or paint thinner
• Vomiting
• Difficulty breathing
• Drowsiness
• Confusion or other altered mental status
• Diarrhea
• Headaches

2. What are the symptoms of chemical inhalation?

Symptoms of chemical inhalation injuries include: Shortness of breath. Persistent

coughing. Headaches, dizziness and weakness. Vomiting. Nausea. Chest pain. Fever
and chills.
3. How do you detox your body from cleaning chemicals?

We recommend adding clay into your life in as many creative ways as you can to pull
out toxins. Clays are so finely particulate that their surface area alone helps to pull
toxins from the body. Add to that the fact that they’re magnetic and absorb these
chemicals and pull them out of the body.
4. In your own idea, which is more susceptible to poisoning?
A. Male or Female
Generally, females are more resistant to infections than men, and this is possibly
mediated by several factors including sex hormones and high expression of coronavirus
receptors (ACE 2) in men but also life style, such as higher levels of smoking and drinking
among men as compared to women.

B. With food in the stomach or empty stomach

If someone has empty stomach, they will also be more susceptible to food poisoning and
picking up parasites found in our food. As paradoxical as it might sound, most often,
indigestion symptoms result from low stomach acid and poor digestion.

C. Adult or teens
Teens are Far More Susceptible than Adults December 10, 2019 Teens are more likely to
participate in underage drinking than any other type of substance misuse. Though they’re
trying to act grown-up, teens’ bodies process alcohol differently than adults’, which can
quickly lead to alcohol poisoning.

D. Awake or on a deep sleep

During sleep, because half of cases show no symptoms before the cardiac arrest occurs.
Carbon monoxide, or CO, is a colorless, odorless gas that can be lethal if too much of it
enters the lungs.

5. What is the first step in any case of suspected poisoning?

A. On the skin
The first step is to get away from or remove the poison if you can. If the poison is on the
skin, rinse it off with water and remove nearby clothing.

B. Inhaled poisoning
Inhaled poison. If the person vomits, turn his or her head to the side to prevent choking.
Begin CPR if the person shows no signs of life, such as moving, breathing or coughing.

C. Poison in the eyes

If the person has poison in the eyes. Rinse eyes with running water for 15 to 20 minutes.
