John Gray Highlights – Natural Solutions for ADHD, Memory and

Brain Performance

What do you find is the hyper effect of our world today on our brain?
Stress levels have doubled over the last 15 years, for women it has quadrupled.
He found that when he reversed his Parkinson’s with nutrition his relationship
improved.
He had ADHD that turned around (ADHD makes the risk of Parkinson’s and
Alzheimer’s twice as high).
We’re all distracted, overwhelmed and take on too much.
ADHD is huge in adults today.
1 out of 7 boys is medicated.
Hyper focus is included in ADHD.
People with ADHD have inhibited dopamine function and need high stimulation.
The paradox is that when children are hyper we give them a stimulant that will calm
them down.

The brain will down regulate dopamine receptor sites so as to not over-stimulate
the brain but the brain cannot then up-regulate without good nutrition.
The down-regulation can lead to addiction to grief, negativity, sugar, junk food, and
bad routines.
There is no difference between the ADHD brain and the addicted brain.
Often people with ADHD are not motivated to finish anything unless it is an
emergency. Danger stimulates dopamine.

What is the impact of this on people’s relationships?

It is polarizing.
There are difference character types in ADHD. There’s the procrastinator, the overly
committed and unchanging person, the overly sensitive person, and the overly bold
person.

What are the factors that have led to the rise in ADHD?
There is one cause with about 15 causes leading to that one cause.

That is oxidative stress in the brain. This is when free radicals are made (from
toxicity/thought/exercise/energy making). If there are more free radicals than
antioxidants then you have oxidative stress.
Heavy metals become a catalyst and deplete the body of glutathione.

What can we do to protect/enhance our glutathione levels?

Cutting out substances that deplete glutathione such as MSG, sugar (people with
diabetes have almost no glutathione).
Those on antidepressants often have ADHD (the sensitive type). One pill of an
antidepressant doubles your cortisol levels and robs you of many hormones.

Taking lithium orotate can neutralize looping negative thoughts.

Where is the best place to start?

Clearly identify what your symptoms are.
Exercise
Hydrotherapy
Undenatured whey protein (a precursor to glutathione)
Vitamin C, cysteine, digestive enzymes
Find the right nutrition
