BUILDING CONTRACT IN INDIA

Further to our recent discussion in my office regarding the building contract in

India, I’m to inform you that work on this steel factory will begin some time during the
next 3 months.

During the past year, the number of orders received by our company has
increased by almost ten percent. This figure includes overseas orders, and of
course, all the customers who have placed orders with us for several years. As you
will understand, it is important that we maintain the same high standards and in order
to do this, we think it’s necessary for you to discuss several financial statements with
the accountant.

We enclose a new set of figures for the material and new equipment needed
for the premises. We feel sure you will agree that these figures are more correct
than the estimates which you received last month.

We understand that you are making plans to visit this area next week for the
annual show of engineering equipment. We also realize that your schedule is busy,
but we hope you will be free to meet the Chairman who is keen to reach a
satisfactory conclusion as soon as possible.
