 ABSTRACT

In an era characterized by digital transformation, the management of libraries has

undergone a significant evolution. An online library management system is a technological
solution designed to streamline and modernize the operations of libraries. In essence, it serves
as a digital platform that assists libraries in efficiently managing their vast collections of books,
journals, and other resources. This system replaces traditional manual processes with
automated and digital methods, significantly improving the overall management and
accessibility of library materials.
An online library offers convenience by enabling users to access materials remotely,
search efficiently, and interact with resources at their convenience. Users can easily find and
request items, including digital resources, without needing to visit the library physically.
Whereas, librarians benefit from streamlined cataloging, automated user management, and
insightful analytics, allowing them to focus on enhancing services rather than administrative
tasks.
Overall, an online library management system represents a significant advancement in
the way libraries operate. By combining the power of digital technology with the intricacies of
library management, these systems offer enhanced efficiency, accessibility, and convenience
for both staff and library users.
