Satisfaction can also be considered as having a nice feeling when something is achieve or
something that that we wish happened or something that provides a feeling of being pleased
with something (Paul & Idah, 2017).
Green spaces act as main components of urban ecosystems which lead to sustainable
developments, quality of landscape and environment, life quality and wellbeing of
people ( Jim & Chen, 2006).
Malaysia is known as rapid industrializing country also facing high pressure on its
green spaces. Based on the discussion above, Tasik Melati, Kangar Perlis is one of
the green spaces which suitable to be selected and discussed.
The infrastructures are not well-maintained by the management lead to unattractive view
and low safety which lead to decrease in people visiting or using the green space area at
Tasik Melati.
In once a week, there are about 20.2% of Malaysian families participate in recreation
activities while once a month by half of the families.

Most cities and towns in Malaysia have low of well-functioned green facilities such that,
poor connectivity may be an issue such as Tasik Melati at Kangar Perlis.

Tasik Melati once has been maintained by the JPS but after few years, all the
infrastructures are not well-maintained either by the managements or by the users.
Visits to or use of the urban green space including the non-visit and non-use are
affected by the characteristics of urban green space and its users (Nor Akmar,
2012).

The characteristics of urban green spaces include features and facilities, size,
connectivity, aesthetic, states and security. The characteristics of users include age,
sex, race, education and disability.

• Sampling size is a subset of population that responds to the question
by the number of respondents.
• According to Sekaran and Bougie (2009), sample size large than 30
and less than 500 are appropriate for most research.
• We will use Gpower 3.1 software to estimate the minimum sample
