Introduction
Before starting
02. Security and health
This guide does not address health and safety requirements, all national and local health
and safety regulations must be complied with.
When more than one pallet of material is needed to carry out the work, it is necessary that the
panels from different pallets be mixed; mixing will guarantee heterogeneity.

Protection sheet
When handling or cutting panels, place them on the pallet in the same way they were
delivered. Stack the face side against the face side with the protective sheet between
them, and so on. This will prevent scratches and damage to the surface of the panels.

It is important that the insulation is well fixed to avoid the risk of the chamber becoming
blocked in the event of detachment.
In addition to the openings that allow ventilation of the chamber at the top and
bottom of the façade, it is also important that air can enter and exit below and
over window openings, doors...
It is recommended to protect the joints between panels of more than 12 mm from the entry
of birds, animals and dirt.
* The dimensions and dimensions of the sketch are the minimum recommended for the correct functioning of
the ventilation and optimal performance of the panels.

The workbench must be stable and covered with a clean, soft material to avoid
scratches and marks on the panels.

Never cut multiple panels together at the same time. Only one panel should be
cut at a time.
When curved cuts are made the panelsEQUITONEThey are usually placedface
down and the cut is from the back.
Follow the subsequent sanding and cleaning procedures described in the previous section.
Never cut multiple panels together at the same time. Only one panel should be
cut at a time.

This effect will disappear over time, when carbonation of the fiber cement
pores occurs naturally. The time period depends on weather conditions.
To help prevent this phenomenon from occurring, the edges ofEQUITONE [nature]and
EQUITONE [natura]promust be impregnated with Luko edge sealantafter cutting, sanding and
cleaning.
Do not apply Luko in wet conditions, or without sanding and cleaning the panel
before application.

For installation using UNI-Rivet riveted visible fixing, the panels must be drilled with the
fiber cement drill bit.EQUITONEø11mm on the visible side of the panel.
DRILL DRILL
MASONPOSTER EQUITONE
It is recommended not to drill the panel placed on the façade as the dust will
spread over large areas and will be difficult to clean.
The panel must be kept firmly attached to avoid vibrations. Turn off the hammer
function on the drill as this can cause it to move and slip.
Drill only one panel at a time. Do not drill multiple panels at the same
time, the slightest movement can cause the holes to end up in the
wrong position.
Page 023
Fast guideof installation
Mark the drill positions precisely. Use a white or red pencil to highlight the
position of the hole, especially on gray or dark gray panels. Use small
crosses, this will reduce time and cleanup.
Consult the Architect's drawings for the position of each UNI-Rivet. The centers for
the rivets are determined based on calculations.
The position of corner drill for vertical substructure should be within the
following range:

The most suitable corner rivets location is V = 80 mm from the horizontal edge and H
= 30 mm from the vertical edges.
For the installation of EQUITONE [linea] the use of the EQUITONE Linea drill bit is
mandatory.

of the specific NV3 drill bit is mandatory.

The anchor closest to the corner has the following edge distances.
The hole closest to the corner should be within the area shown below.
The centers for the rest of the panel supports are determined based on the wind load
calculations.

Ensure that anchors specified by the engineer are used and placed correctly, in
form, quantity and position.

If black profiles are specified, it is recommended that they be anodized for their
durability.
In the case of using galvanized steel profiles, Omegas and U profiles will
be used instead of T and L, minimum thickness 1.5mm and minimum
protective coating Z275.
The T and L profiles will be placed securing them to the wall using brackets supported
on thermostops.
Each T and L profile will have a weight square, which supports all the weight and must be
fixed in all the holes.
The rest of the escutcheons are mobile, they will be fixed in all the slots, in the center of them.

Profile
The number of squares per section of profile is determined by the wind and deformation
calculation, according to current regulations.
It is recommended that the profiles have the maximum length of the height between
slabs. A minimum space of 20 mm must be left between adjacent profiles.

The horizontal profiles cannot protrude from the last vertical profile more
than 75 mm.
The horizontal profile is riveted or screwed to the vertical L-profiles. This should be
done with fixed and sliding points. Each horizontal profile is normally 3 m long.
Leave an expansion space of 20mm - 30mm between adjacent profiles.

Check that the profiles are level and in correct position. It is easier to level vertical
profiles than horizontal ones. Any uneven profiles will cause stresses in the panels
and may be visible once the façade is completed.

2
RED-STOP points will be placed as close as possible to the central area of the panel, the
panel cdg, or above it.
3
The RED-STOP points of a panel should never be placed on the same profile.
Page 037

4
The RED-STOP points of two adjacent panels must never coincide on the same profile.
5
It is very important that whatever option is chosen, the location of the RED-STOP
pointsin all panels is the same.Always to the left, or always to the right.

Set this panel as the first panel. Continue across the façade moving the support
profile as work progresses. When the top row panels are in place, remove the
support profile.
Measure down from the bottom edge of the top Panel height plus joint
fixed panel and mark the position of the bottom
edge of the next row of panels. This measurement 1
is equivalent to the height of the panel plus the
horizontal joint (8 - 12 mm).

The panel must rest on a hard, firm surface and be fully supported.
It is advisable to start with the leveling and fixing staples in the upper corners, remember
that there are only two per panel. Later, the rest of the panel staples will be fixed.
Before placement there may be a small gap between the head of the TUF-S and the staple.

The clips used in the top corners of the panel have threaded screws that
allow the panel to move up and down to achieve correct alignment. These
staples also support the weight of the panel.
To prevent lateral movement of the panel, a leveling claw is fixed using locking
screws or clips. Make sure this occurs on the same side of the panel, either the
entire right side or all the leveling brackets on the left side.
The rest of the clips do not have any means of adjustment, they are used to resist wind
loads.
