I. OBJECTIVES

a. Content Standard

The learner demonstrates understanding of dance in optimizing one’s health, as requisite for
physical activity assessment performance, and as a career opportunity.

b. Performance Standard

The learner leads dance events with proficiency and confidence resulting in independent
pursuit and in influencing others positively.

c. Learning Competencies

Engages in moderate to vigorous physical activities (MVPAs) for at least 60 minutes most
days of the week in a variety of settings in- and out of school. (PEH12FH-Ia-t-8)

At the end of the 20-minute discussion the students should be able to:

A. Distinguish the common stressors experienced by the learners;


B. Identify the different benefits of recreational activities;
C. Perform a moderate to vigorous physical activities; and
D. State in one’s own words the value of recreational activities in improving mental health.

IV. PROCEDURE
a) Establishing a Purpose for the Lesson

Picture Analysis
(Picture Stress Test)

Interpretation:
The slower the picture moves, the better your ability of handling stress.
If you suffer from high level of stress then you should notice the picture is moving
considerably.

b) Presenting Examples/Instances of the New Lesson


The students will accomplish the Stress Management Assessment, then together with the
teacher they will use their answers on the said activity in understanding the lesson.

1. Assess our feeling today how you are feeling today may influence your health and may affect
your capacity as a student to think, remember, process information and learn.
2. Rate yourself using the following scale by checking the corresponding box.

c) Discussing the New Concepts leads to the First Formative Assessment


The teacher ask the following guide questions:

3. What did you do to wake yourself up and be determined once again?

The teacher will discuss the following:


a. Recreational Activities
b. Categories of Recreational Activities
c. Benefits of Recreational Activities
Reflective question: Think of an outdoor activity you experienced before. What benefits
did you get out of doing it?

d) Finding Practical Applications of Concepts and Skills in Daily Living


The students will do the DIY Activity or the Do It Yourself Activity- facehope Edition.
Think of the times when you feel so stressful/burnout. Think also of the ways you did in
order to cope with the situation. Based on your experience, write a short reflection on how
doing recreational activities with your loved ones contribute significant changes to you as an
individual. Post in facehope (the official facebook page of PE and Health III students) and tag
your teacher.

e) Making Generalizations and Abstractions about the Lesson


Stop Look and Learn!
The teacher will use the following pictures to generalize the lesson. She will ask the

activities to keep you charged physically, mentally-emotionally, socially, economically and most
of all spiritually. Create a 2-minutes vlog of your chosen family recreational activity then send it
in our chat room.
