Welcome to the Technical Vocational Livelihood Grade 11/12 Alternative Delivery
Mode (ADM) Module on Different Napkin Folding Styles.
This module was collaboratively designed, developed and reviewed by educators both
from public and private institutions to assist you, the teacher or facilitator in helping
the learners meet the standards set by the K to 12 Curriculum while overcoming their
personal, social, and economic constraints in schooling.
This learning resource hopes to engage the learners into guided and independent
learning activities at their own pace and time. Furthermore, this also aims to help
learners acquire the needed 21st century skills while taking into consideration their
needs and circumstances.

Have you experienced dining to any formal restaurant or food
establishment? Have you attended weddings or birthdays in a high-end resorts or
hotels? Have you noticed a piece of folded cloth placed at the top or side of the plate?
In this lesson, you will learn all about table napkin which includes the sizes,
importance and the different folding styles.
What’s Is It
A folded table napkin is place on the table for the guest’s use to
contribute to the presentation of the cover and the whole dining environment.
The way in which the napkin is presented depends on the type of establishment
and the type of service. Table napkin is also called as serviette. It is a small
piece of square linen or paper tissue used at the table. It is usually small and
folded, sometimes it intricates design and shape. It can be done as art or as a
hobby. Most commonly encountered as a table decoration in a fancy restaurant.

napkin style. You can refer to the internet: https://www.HowToFoldNapkin.org or google
search. You may use disposable table napkins or any clean sheet of paper or old
newspaper or anything available at home that can be used to fold as table napkin style.
