Lesson Title: Dice Dancing

-I can take pictures and write down anecdotal notes during
the activity. I will use observations to ensure students are
meeting the objectives.

-I can compare the pictures and notes to look for patterns
amongst the students.
Differentiation:
-Students may need some encouragement to dance or
some ideas of different dance moves. Students may not
want to dance by themselves which is why this activity is
done in groups. They also may need some examples and
assistance in coming up with different movements that can
be utilized.

Learning Experience
Academic Language:

Procedural steps:
-Students will be in a circle on the carpet.
-First we will decide movements that are going to correspond
with each number on a die.
-They will get to take turns rolling a die, each number on the
dice represents a specific dance move. As a group students
will decide what dance move is associated with each number
-One at a time we will go through all the dance moves with
different songs on a music player. The dance moves may
very based off of the tempo and rhythm in the music.
-Students can also uses props like scarves with their dancing.
-Students will each get multiple turns to roll the die and recall
the dance moves.
