The final product once the coffee filters dry will be on
display at Bombeck in the hallway on the windows.
Differentiation:
For students who may not be able to hold the spray bottle
properly, I can assist them by hold their hands and
supporting them while spraying the bottle.

Procedural steps:
Gather students at a table and begin with open ended
questions.
Next distribute the coffee filters and lay them flat on the tray.
Now allow the students to color their coffee filters as much or
as little as they’d like.
Once the student is done coloring their coffee filter, show
them how to position the spray bottle and allow them to
spray their coffee filter themselves.
Allow them to observe what is happening when water is
applied to their coffee filter with the colored marker on it.
Put wet coffee filter on drying rack.
Come back to table and talk about what it will look like once
it’s dry and how you’ll be able to see through it if hung on the
window.

Adult Roles: As the leader of the lesson, it is my role to

keep the students engaged and to show them how to
use the spray bottle properly
