READING INTERVENTION PROGRAM
I. Rationale:
Reading is considered the most important subject every student should

master because it will mean success or failure when they go to the next grade
level. Reading is a process of getting memory from the thought that was gain.
Reading as one of the macro communication skills in English and Filipino

demands a spare time and effect for both the teacher and the students for
development. Reading in the classroom helps students gain knowledge in
everything by the print media and information technology to learn and reason
out anything learned.
In Mindanao Community School, Inc. Intervention Program for struggling

students are scheduled thirty (30) minutes a day.
II. Objectives:
To upgrade the reading aptitude of the struggling students of Mindanao

Community School, Inc.
III. Methodology:
1. Conduct a Planning Conference among teachers and stakeholder.

2. Conduct a reading assessment among learners cared by the class advisers.
3. Submission of reading assessment result to the Acting Guidance
Coordinator.
4. Schedule of the Reading Recovery Intervention Program.
5. The teacher assigned to mentor/tutor these learners will pull out the
identified learners during free time.
6. Conduct of remediation to the identified struggling students may apply pair
teaching and DISTAR as intervention.
