UNIT/TOPIC: Counting numbers of objects in a given set by ones and tens

INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS: Coins , marbles , straw , cotton buds

LESSON OUTCOME:

At the end of the lesson, the students should be able:

A. Identify patterns in counting by ones and and tens.

B. Enumerate objects in a set up to 20 by ones and set up to 100 by tens.

C.Students will understand the concept of grouping objects into tens.

ESSENTIAL QUESTION: How can counting objects by ones and tens help us understand and
manipulate quantities in mathematics and real-world situations?

VALUES INTEGRATION: To enable the students to identify the numbers collectively as the
group of ones and tens.

counting both the individual objects and the group of
tens.

-I prepare sets of objects in group of tens(10 straw, 20


cotton buds, 30 coins)
