ATA 29

1. Three PWR source for HYD system:


- Green
- Yellow
- Blue
2. Green SYS get main PWR from EDP & auxiliary PWR from PTU.
3. Yellow: main source EDP, and Auxiliary PTU & E-Pump.
4. Blue Sys normal source of PWR is Electrical Pump (E-pump) and Auxiliary source PWR is RAT.
5. Blue Electrical Pump: use as auxiliary PWR for Maintenance Purpose on Ground.
6. Green & Yellow auto operate with PTU with different delta P: 500 psi. (No fluid transfer)
7. RAT is auxiliary P supply for blue sys & emergency electrical power Constant Speed motor/generator.
8. RAT extension by spring force. & retraction by: Blue HYD P.
o Up lock release by: solenoid operation.
o Down Lock release is by hydraulic P.

 Green: Normal Brk.


 Yellow: Alternate Brk + Parking Brk + NDG stering + ENG-2 thus level.
9. PTU is auto control to close when different P between G & Y sys. / & Manual P/B.
10. PTU function:
o Auto operate with different P.
o 2 different Parts.
o Yellow acts like motor.
o Green acts like pump.
o 3000 psi.
11. Blue Sys Operation:
o Any Engine running + E-pump start working.
o Back Up when G/Y false.
o RAT if PWR lost from both ENG.
o OVRD P/B at maintenance panel.
o APU in case of both ENG lose.

12. Priority Valve function: Cutting off HYD PWR to Heavy Load User in case Low HYD.

BLUE SYSTEM:
1. HP manifold P switch send to ECAM & FCC. Threshold P: 1450 psi.
a. ECAM indicating & Warning:
b. Normal gageable: 61 Max fill: 81 Low level: 2 & 3 + ECAM Caution.
2. RAT is deployed automatic:
- AC electrical lose.
- V> 100 kts.
- Manual P/B.
3. Electric Pump Function:
- Set to AUTO the blue electric pump will run.
- One ENG running.
- Blue Pump OVRD P/B press to ON.
- NLG is not compressed.
- AC power available from AUP.
4. PTU Inhibited:
- Cargo door open.
- PTU P/B is OFF.
- A/C on ground + one ENG running.
- Parking ON.
- Nose wheel steering is disconnect for towing.

5. P transducer: show ECAM + ELAC 1&2.


6. Priority Valve: CHK all HYD P to primary flight control. (Threshold priority valve is: 1842 psi)
7. Sampling valve is installed on HP manifold.
8. Accumulator: Nitrogen charged to: 1885 psi + 20’C. Total fluid 1.11.
9. No PTU for blue system.

YELLOW SYSTEM:
1. Located RH belly fairing, FWD of MLG.
a. ECAM indicating & Warning:
b. Normal fill: 12 Max fill: 18 Low fill: 3 + ECAM Caution.
c. Pressurization: 50 psi / Low P. 22 psi.
2. P- switch: ECAM sms, P> 1740 psi.
3. Electric Pump run when:
- ELEC PUMP P/B is ON.
- Cargo door selector is operate.
4. PTU is inhibited 03 ways: 1.
1. A/C on ground.
2. PRK Brk ON
3. One ENG running.
4. Towing safety pin engage.

2. PTU P/B Off


3. CARGO door open and close signal send to SFCC-2.

5. Function of “CURRENT TRANSFORMER” When current flow of 3 phases are not balance, send signal to P/B SW of HYD
yellow to stop.

HYD RESERVOIR PRESSURIZING:


1. Normal Pressure Source: ENG-1 via: both ENG + APU + Pneumatic Manifold.
2. Back Up P. Source: Pneumatic Sys in case of loss ENG-1. + group supply.
3. P. gage: P switch generate LOW AIR PRESS warning if P < 22 psi.

SEAL DRAIN SYS: located in the Yellow HYD compartment.


1. The component which are drained to FWD COLLECTOR TANK SYSTEM:

ATA 32
Extension & Retraction Sys:
1. LDG is not put DOWN during landing:

2. BAULK Solenoid function: to bock LDG lover not to “Up” position during A/C on ground.
f. Energize “IN FLY” un-lock.
g. De-energize “On Ground” Lock.
3. Safety Valve Function:
- Protect LDG & Door not open.
- No HYD supply at speed > 260 knt.
4. BRK Function:
29. Normal Brk: (BSCU) Green sys + Anti/SKID & Nose Wheel switch ON. + Prk Brk switch OFF.
30. Alternate Brk: (ABCU) Yellow + Accumulator apply (emergency)
5. Landing gear “ LO & MED” position use for LANDING: (Auto mode disconnect when pedal apply.
“MAX” for take off.
6. Normal Servo Vale: is control by different Pressure applied for Pedal.

Nose Wheel Steering:


1. Nose wheel steering is controlled by: BSCU + Yellow Sys.
2. Maximum of Rudder Pedals: 6 degree , but Hand wheel: 74 degree.
3. Safety Valve of Gear Extension is “close auto” if V>60 ktn.
4. L/G Extension Sequence:
a. Door opening.
b. Geer down.
c. Door Closing.
HYD Shut-OFF Valve:
1. Close the safety valve when V>260 kts.
2. 03 Bypass valves 1,2,3 are only operated during ground maintenance.
3. Three rounds of L/G free fall:
d. 1,5 turn: Cut off valve & 2 vent valves to depressurize (stop HYD supply).
e. 1,6-1,8 turn: door up-locks are release.
f. 1,9-3 turn: L/G up-lock is release.
4. Actuating Cylinder Function:
31. Piston rod extend to retract MLG.
32. Piston rod retracts to extend the MLG.

Nose L/G:
1. Five doors for Nose L/G.
a. Two main door.
b. Two aft door,
c. One leg door.
L/G door ground operation:
1. Bypass valves have 3 HYD connection Mark:
d. Port A: door open line,
e. Port B: Door close line from the selector valve.
f. Port C: door close line to the door actuating cylinder.
2. LGCIU CONTROL SIGNAL:
g. Door Fully Open: proximity detectors send signal to LGCIU to see door fully open or not.
3. Three kinds of Signal:
- Discrete (close & open)
- Analog (Continou : P & T).
- Digital (ARIN : many signal together).
4. Indicator Light Panel is controlled by: LGCIU 1 only.
5. BSCU control normal, Alternate Brking and Anti-Skid operation.
6. ABCU control & monitor the Alternate BRKing system / no anti-skid protection.
7. ABCU auto activate:
33. A/SKID switch OFF. (BSCU Off)
34. BSCU failure.
35. Normal BRK failed.
Accumulator:
1. Brake Accumulator supply from Yellow HYD and provide P to Alternate Sys.
2. Auto Break Aarming:
a. when if one of LO, MED, MAX P/B is press.
b. No light come on Blue.
3. “Auto- Breaking” is Arm: Control by BSCU.
- Green Sys available.
- BSCU PWR supply.
- No failure in Normal Breaking Sys.
4. “Auto-Breaking” is Disarm:
- P/B out.
- Lose arming condition.
- Applying sufficient force to the pedals when auto brake is operating.
- Ground spoilers retraction.

ANTI-SKID FUCTION:
1. The speed of each main wheel given by: “tachometer”.
2. A/C speed given by: ADIRU.
3. A/C different speed given by: BSCU.

NORMAL BRAKING:
1. Normal Breaking & A/SKID regulations are electrical control by BSCU.

Alternate Breaking Sys:


36. BRK + A/SKID but Control by BSCU.

Alternate Breaking without A/SKID:


37. BSCU Fault.
38. Break P > 1000 psi
39. Show indication.

1. Fuse: operate to “close & open” the HYD by different rate flow.
2. A/SKID failure during ALTN breaking with A/SKID:
- ABCU auto control ALTN without A/SKID protection.

2. YAW FUNCTION:

52. The yaw damper function controls the RUDDER for Dutch roll damping and turn coordination.

3. ROLL FUNCTION: (ELAC -1)

12. SIDE STICK:


- The SIDE STICK is in the neutral position when Auto pilot is engaged.
- Auto-pilot is dis-connect by pushing the P/B button on side stick.
- Side Stick: Press + 30 sec : TO TAKE OVER.
- Side Stick: Press for short time: To disconnect “Auto Pilot”.
13. NORMAL LAW: (ELAC)
- Provide pitch protection. Up 30 - 20 & Down: 15.
- Load limitation
- High AOA protection. ( above 100 ft RA / below: 2,000 ft RA / In conf 2,3 FULL / not in TOGA
- High speed protection.
- Auto provide “Turn co-ordination and “Dutch roll” damping.
# PITCH ATTITUDE PROTECTION LIMIT: are shown as small “Green dashes” on PFD.

14. ALTERNATE LAW:


- ALT false in fly: NORMAL LAW will stand by “Full protection”
- Direct Law also stands by if NORMAL LAW Failure.

15. Bank Angle Protection:


- (Max: 67 degree reduce to 40 degree / Minimin: 33 degree.)
- Auto trim is inhibited above 33 degree.

16. ELAC FUNCTION:


- ELAC-1 control the Aileron. & ELAC-2 stand by.
- Spoiler 1 is not use for “ROLL CONTROL”.

17. ELAC:
- In flight: transmit YAW DAMPING & TURN Coordination to FAC.
18. AUTO-PILOT ENGAGED:
- FMCG send commands to FAC to control:
a. FAC for Rudder Trimming &
b. YAW Control + Yaw Damping Function.

19. RUDDER TRIM:


- One or Two electric motors at each side.
20. Rudder:
- Three actuators and different sys.
