Strategic management has played an important role towards the whole organization
process. Briefly identity the differences between the strategic plans and operational
plans and give example from you own organization?
Both strategic and operational plans are important to the organization process. Variation
between strategic goals are the long-term objectives which are set by top level management
and it involves vision, mission, goals, measuring the goals and implementation of the goals
and evaluating our goals of our organization whereas operational goals are a work plan that
are very detail of the focus for the near future the daily milestones that need to be reached to
achieve them and is a function of middle level management.
For an example, I work at Nilai Springs Resort Hotel and Golf & Country Club and our
vision is to be the best preferred golfing destination in Malaysia. To achieve our mission, we
have to provide an international golfing standard and the club’s facilities must be at its best
standard possible. Our dedicated staffs are also committed to provide a prompt and friendly
customer service. We also constantly remind and train our staffs to strive for excellence at all
time to achieve our goals.
