What is HUMSS ???

HUMSS stands for Humanities and Social Sciences. It is

one of the strands offered to Senior High students. This
strand is for learners who aim to take up journalism,
communication arts, liberal arts, education, and other
social science - related courses in college.
WHY DID WE
CHOOSE
HUMSS? Well, HUMSS strand revolves around
improving a student’s reading, writing,
and speaking skills because if you
haven’t noticed yet, people who choose
this strand are aspiring to become
members of the society who will be
dealing with a lot of people. (e. g teacher,
psychologist, lawyer, etc.)

ADVANTAGES
IMPORTANT POINT ! OF HUMSS
One of the advantages of taking a
HUMSS strand is that, this strand can
build and boost yourself;
confidence/self-esteem. Some students
or teenagers are being introvert
because they don’t communicate much
on other teenagers.

Promotes a sense of confidence in

voicing out one’s opinions and ideas in
an articulate, logical, and concise
manner through the various projects
and tasks in the different HUMSS
