3.1 Purpose and Objective of the School

The primary purpose of this feasibility study is to evaluate the viability and potential impact of
introducing a new strand in Senior High School (SHS) at Governor Generoso Agricultural
Vocational Institute of Technology, (GGAVIT) Inc. This new strand aims to align with the
evolving needs of our students, the local community, and the broader economy. By offering this
new strand, GGAVIT Inc. seeks to enhance the educational opportunities available to our
students, better prepare them for higher education or employment, and contribute to the holistic
development of our learners.

To achieve this goal, the study will begin by assessing the market demand to determine the
level of interest and demand among students and parents for the proposed new strand. This will
include identifying potential industries or sectors that require the skills and knowledge imparted
by the new strand. Concurrently, we will undertake curriculum development efforts to design a
comprehensive and relevant curriculum that meets the standards set by the Department of
Education (DepEd) and aligns with industry needs. The curriculum will integrate theoretical
knowledge with practical skills to provide students with a well-rounded education.

Infrastructure and resource evaluation will also be a critical component of this study. We will
assess the current facilities, equipment, and resources available at GGAVIT Inc. and identify
any necessary upgrades or additions to support the new strand. Additionally, a financial analysis
will be conducted to determine the cost implications of offering the new strand, including
potential revenue streams, expenses, and return on investment. This will help us develop a
sustainable financial model that ensures the new strand's long-term viability and affordability
for students.

Faculty and staff training will be another key focus area. We will identify the training needs of
existing faculty and staff to effectively deliver the new strand's curriculum and plan and
implement professional development programs accordingly. Furthermore, stakeholder
engagement will be crucial to gather feedback and support for the proposed new strand. We will
engage with students, parents, faculty, local businesses, and community leaders to foster
partnerships and enhance the learning experience and opportunities for students.

Lastly, the study will establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and benchmarks to monitor
the success and impact of the new strand over time. Regular evaluations and reviews will be
conducted to assess the effectiveness of the curriculum, teaching methods, and overall student
performance.

By achieving these objectives, GGAVIT Inc. aims to make informed decisions about the
introduction of a new strand in Senior High School that aligns with our school's mission, vision,
and commitment to providing quality education. This feasibility study will serve as a roadmap
to guide our planning, implementation, and continuous improvement efforts in offering the new
strand to our students.
